As explained by YouTube viewers who are loving the Persian / Iranian vibe of the track, the Persian (Farsi) word 'Azizam' translates as 'my dear or 'my beloved, and is commonly as a term of endearment among friends and family as well as between romantic partners. According to The Guardian, Sheeran's catchy new cross-cultural collaboration inolves "musicians playing Middle Eastern instruments – ghatam, daf, santur – as well as the Citizens of the World Choir, which is made up of refugees".
